Electricity Infrastructure

Electricity infrastructure refers to the systems and facilities necessary for the generation, transmission, and distribution of electrical power. This includes power plants, substations, transformers, and the network of wires that deliver electricity to homes and businesses. Electrical grids consist of power stations, electrical substations to step voltage up or down, electric power transmission to carry power over long distances, and finally electric power distribution to customers.

For my model railway I focus in on the distribution to the customers .. the power poles, transformers and the various “bits and bobs” that deliver the power to those customers. I have considered a sub-station as a possible project also.
